Invested Development/Sponsor a Scholarship Student

You know what's lame? Inequity in financial education.

Hello, friend! If you made it here, you’ve already heard of my scholarship program. Thank you for caring ♥️

For a quick refresh, here's the scoop on my scholarship program:

In 2020, I taught over 300 Black women how to invest. Prior to that, I've given dozens of scholarships to all kinds of folks that have been historically left out of these important conversations about building wealth.

By the end of 2021, I plan on teaching the foundations of investing to 500 women of color. My Spring 2021 class included 250 Black women, and my Fall 2021 class will include 250 women of color.

Because I’m all about that raw honesty, let me tell you the deal. I am going to attempt to take on this ambitious goal no matter what — with or without any outside support. Or at least, I am going to try my best!!

This is a high priority to me personally and important to the core mission of my business — getting this valuable information to those who haven't always had a fair shake at building personal wealth.

It is my time and experience to give, so that is what I am going to give!

But if you’re here, you intuitively understand that running a scholarship program is hard, especially as a one-woman shop. Not only do my scholarship students get designated office hours to ask questions and receive coaching (and that’s the fun and easy part), but managing the program logistics can be consuming.

That’s where you come in! If you would like to sponsor a student, (cheezZZe incoming) it would mean the world. Very simply, a donation gives me time. It allows me to worry less about selling to paying customers — this is a business, after all, and a girl's gotta eat — so that I can focus more energy on my scholarship students.

Another great way to support this scholarship program is simply by buying the Invested Development course, for either yourself or for a loved one! (Just enter in the email of the person you’d like to buy it for, and let them know they’ll get an email.) The truth is, I’ll do scholarships for as long as my business keeps humming along. So, supporting my business in this way — paying for products and services — helps ensure the program stays alive!!

The retail price of one course spot is $249, and that is the requested donation for sponsorship. 30% of donation proceeds will be gifted to my students upon graduation. If you can't afford one of these options right now, seriously don't sweat it! Support my work by sharing with a friend, and save that money for yourself. ♥️

Whether you decide to donate or not, please know that I am so, so appreciative of your support.

Please note, I am not currently a 501(c)(3) non-profit. I will not be issuing tax receipts at this time.
